Treasuries I'm featured in on Etsy.com

Some crafters online have put together their own collections of items on Etsy.com that have a common theme, and I was chosen to be in a few of them!  I love to look at Treasuries because they bring together such diverse artists to showcase a beautiful theme, and its just something nice to look through when you are bored! :)  So here are a few that I'm featured in!  Click on the link with the name of the treasury to be taken to the page with the pictures of the other items in the treasury! Have fun! :)

Thank you again for reading our blog!  I would like to write some more information about our son Aden's progress with his ABA therapy, but this year has been so busy for us!  After the New Years, I am hoping things will slow down a little bit and I can work on updating my blog more than just once every few months!  I did want to share the Treasuries though -- they are fun to look at! :)  Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Lola Lambert

2010 Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Daddy Jeffy, Aden and Mama Lola at the Walk
What a great event it turned out to be! Again this year we had thousands of families come out to support Autism Awareness and raise money for Autism Speaks.  It was a beautiful day this year -- not like last year when it was so cold we had to bundle up Aden in blankets! We got some great pictures too! :)
Our ABA aide Megan came with us this year (on the far left), and our mom did the walk with us too! (If you look closely, you can see my cute Autism Awareness flip flops that my crafty friend made for me - they have red, yellow, light blue, royal blue and puzzle print ribbons tied all around them)

That is BRUTUS BUCKEYE posing for a picture with Aden! (Aden wasn't interested at the time! Haha!)

Megan, Aden and myself (Aden is holding his leaf that I gave him while we were walking around outside - he kept it with him the whole time! It was so cute!)

That's Megan and Aden's teacher, Miss Tammy posing with Aden at the walk!

Of course I had to sport all of my Autism Awareness jewelry I made too! :)  And I saw a few of the OSU Students wearing some of mine also that had purchased some from me! It was very exciting! :)

Family trip to Hocking Hills Park!

A few weekends ago I spent the entire weekend with my new extended family at Hocking Hills Park in Ohio. It was absolutely beautiful! Fall is my favorite time of year and the leaves were absolutely stunning! I have never seen such a masterpiece of nature anywhere! There were caves and rocks, waterfalls and lakes... I can't wait to go back next year! Here are just some of the amazing photos we captured while we were there!!!

Aden's Angels - Our team for the 2009 Walk Now for Autism Speaks

UPDATE: We had over 6,000 walkers at the event and raised over $340,000 in Columbus alone! Wow! Great job everyone! :)
This past Sunday, October 11th we participated in the 2009 Walk Now for Autism Speaks event here in Columbus. This was our first year to do this walk and it was really a great event! Our team was "Aden's Angels" named after my son Aden, who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at 15 months old. He is now 3 1/2 yrs old and attending a full day preschool program in our local public school district. He is doing wonderfully there!!!

We had a great turnout for our team too! The members were:
Myself (Lola) - Team Captain
Jaime - my mother, Aden's "Nana"
Jeff - my husband, "Daddy Jeffy"
Lynn - my mother-in-law, "Grandma Lamb"
Ron - my father-in-law, "Papa Lamb"
Sonny - Ron's best friend from childhood, our "Team Co-Captain" :)
Michelle - my sister-in-law
Janet - one of Lynn's best friends
Trish - another one of Lynn's best friends
Beth - another one of Lynn's best friends

Here I am with Sonny, Jeff, my mom Jaime and Aden all bundled up! It was cold that day!

Here I am with my Pooky Bear the day of the walk! I was wearing all my Autism Awareness jewelry, and my hair scrunchie I made too!
Here is Sonny - I called him our Team Captain because he proudly held up our signs we made before the walk. They had a few tables set up with free signs and paints to make your own signs - unfortunately I was not very good at decorating with just a sponge (as compared to using an actual paint brush, which they did not have) - so my sign was really ugly! LOL! My husband was embarrassed to hold it! Haha! Sonny was such a good sport! He held both mine and my moms signs the whole time! :) This one is the one my mother made. :)
Here I am with my husband Jeff - we were sporting OSU and Autism Awareness! :)

Here is Lynn with her best friends - they were so sweet and funny! I'm so glad they came out!

So we had a great day and we raised over $700 for the walk! Thanks to everyone that made donations and purchased Autism Awareness jewelry from me to raise money for the walk! :)

I'M RAISING MONEY FOR OUR WALK NOW FOR AUTISM SPEAKS TEAM!

Hi there! My name is Lola and I'm the proud mother of a wonderful autistic child. We are participating in the 2009 Walk Now for Autism Speaks in Columbus, Ohio - and I'm selling my handmade autism jewelry as a fundraiser to raise money for our team. I'm donating half of all the autism jewelry sales towards our team for the walk. I named the team after my son, Aden -- "Aden's Angels" - isn't that cute? I love to make jewelry, and I am a huge advocate for awareness, understanding and acceptance. I wear my jewelry with pride and I always appreciate the opportunity I get to share with someone about autism who may have simply noticed my jewelry, but not have any idea what it stands for. :)

So, if you know anyone whose family has been impacted by Autism, please send them to my site - and they can help donate money towards Autism Speaks simply by purchasing a beautiful piece of art that will help to raise awareness!

Thanks for reading this! God Bless You!

Lola
